This is a strategically key position that reports to the Chief Growth Officer for a multinational company operating in Pakistan, Middle East and Africa. This is a new role within the group with P&L responsibility. The selected candidate would be responsible for developing, launching, establishing and leading the e-commerce business within the group with the potential for significant market disruption.

Key Deliverables & Accountabilities

Overall design, implementation and management of the e-commerce business processes within the area of responsibility while operating in line with group strategy and business plans, budgets and KPIs. These would include but not be limited to (a) ecommerce product development and end-to-end business management (b) ability to learn from past experiences to develop successful and long-term selling propositions (c) leading a team of motivated individuals to deliver against the strategy and financial targets

Required Education and Experience

Master’s level academic attainment from a reputable university with minimum 8-10 years of commercial management hands-on experience, with about 5 years in the digital / ecommerce work environment.
Capacity to think and act proactively with a general attitude towards achieving quality for its own sake combined with a profitability oriented and financially conscious mindset.

About the role:

We are looking for an E-Commerce Manager with a strong ability to run the operations and teams as a leader. The candidate should have proficiency with site analytics and data analysis. The candidate should be able to work independently and be highly collaborative on projects. The candidate will be responsible for all site operations, user experience, site merchandising, and fulfilment for the company's e-commerce business.

What you’ll be doing:

Manage all online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and reporting
Liaising with all internal teams to drive process improvement and operational excellence
Ensure operational excellence through close collaboration with the Supply Chain team to maintain in-stock status on-site, optimize new fulfilment opportunities, plan for peak periods, and improve/eliminate returns
Supervise the execution, monitoring and measurement of marketing campaigns and their success
Onboard new vendors and develop a good relationship with the existing vendors.
Develop and implement an ecommerce strategy to improve website performance
Own daily reporting for web performance-tracking all major KPIs
Monitor competitive landscape and site benchmarks
Work with developers to improve website speed, UI/UX and features
Own end-to-end processes and the P/L of the division
Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
Execute growth plans and work towards the future objectives of the company
What we are looking for:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business Administration or related field.
Minimum 3-4 years experience in a similar role
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organisation's behaviour
Knowledge of running operations in a startup is a plus
Confidence in traffic analysis, reporting tools and optimisation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
